Connect Instagram
Let Filo answer your Instagram messages and publish your posts.
When you are done, Filo answers the direct messages on your Instagram account and publishes the posts you approve.
Before you start
- Your Instagram is a professional account (Business or Creator). To check: in the Instagram app open your profile. If you see Professional dashboard under your name, it is. If not, open Instagram's settings, choose Account type and tools and switch to a professional account. It is free and takes 1 minute.
- The login of that Instagram account, or the Facebook login of the person who manages it.
- You are the owner or an admin of the Filo workspace.
Which one are you?
This is the short way. You only need the username and password of the Instagram account.
Tap Connect next to Instagram
Open Settings, then Integrations. Not sure where? See where to connect.

Instagram opens. Type the username and password of your business account, not your private one.

Tap Allow
Instagram lists what Filo may do: see your profile, read and answer messages, publish posts. Leave everything switched on and tap Allow.

How you know it worked
You are back in Filo. Instagram shows your account name and two switches.

- Content: Filo publishes posts to this account.
Both start switched on. More about them in Manage your connected accounts.
If something goes wrong
Start again from the first step. The three usual reasons:
- You closed the Instagram or Facebook window before the end.
- More than 10 minutes passed between tapping Connect and finishing. Filo stops waiting after 10 minutes.
- You signed in with a private account. Sign in with the business account.
On Facebook you ticked the Page but not the Instagram account, or the other way round. Connect again and tick both: the Instagram account and the Facebook Page it is linked to.
Your Instagram is not linked to a Facebook Page yet. Use the other way: I have the Instagram password. It needs no Facebook Page.
The same Instagram account is used in another Filo workspace. You can share it. Read what sharing means first.
Check that Conversations is switched on for this account, and that Reply to incoming DMs automatically is on in the Conversations section of Settings.
